response in mind?
Every believer in Christ has been called to a ministry. It might not be in
a church, but nonetheless, God assigns us to an area of ministry. So what
is yours? What is your ministry?

Feb. 07, 2018 | Marriage and Single Stuff
1 Corinthians 7:10-11
The Corinthians had a lot of questions for Paul regarding
singleness.
Paul has clear opinions separate from the Lord: v 12, v25.
That doesn’t mean that it’s not the Word of God, because Paul was led by the
Holy Spirit to write this. One interpretation is that there is difference from
Jesus’s literal teachings. Another interpretation is that Paul was given a
Divine allowance to say these things. Paul’s preferences, according to
scripture is for single people to remain single. He is intending that believers
in Christ to be his audience.
1.
Believers are to honor their marriage vows.
a.
If you are married, honor the promise you have
made.
i. 1
Corinthians 7:10-11 NKJV
ii. A
wife is not to leave her husband (except for conditions later mentioned)
iii. If
a spouse leaves the marriage, they are to remain unmarried, or reconcile with
the spouse.
b.
A goal of marriage to please each other. A focus
on meeting the needs of the spouse.

Acts 16:19-24
Vs 23, Roman law ensured that its citizens would not be punished without a trial. Yet Paul was beaten and his rights were violated. This was religious persecution. Even so, God brought good from this by saving the jailer and his family-- Romans 8:28
Don't look at the bad things as if it is from God, because he does not condone it; look at it as how God can bring good from bad.
America symbolizes freedom.
- Our founding fathers struggled with defining religious rights
- When the Constitution was drafted, the number one complaint included the belief that the constitution did not have a clear distinction of rights of its people. Bill of Rights were made.
