Title: Our Burning Bushes
Base Verse: Exodus 3:1-6
When was the last time you heard from God--when did you last ask God for help? Do you make decisions without asking God whether it is of His plan for you?
- Whatever you are facing, whatever is troubling you, let God handle it, because He will make a way for you to accomplish what He has planned for your life.
- Whatever He has called you to do in your life, He has called you to do it on your knees. It is no amount of talent or skill, but faith and trust in Him.
- In whatever your troubles are, don’t go to your friends for help--go on your knees and give it to God.
- You don’t run from the Will of God. Stand through the flames and He’ll pull you through. Be grateful that the Almighty Creator of earth and the universe is willing to speak to your heart and show you your next step in the path for your life.
- When God withholds a very important answer from you despite your continual asking, it is a very important answer coming your way.
- God is always right. Nobody else can take credit for all that He has done. He will speak to you if you’ll listen. God talks to us no matter what age. There are no other conditions; all we need is to be willing to listen.
- God spoke to Moses and got his attention with a burning bush--told Moses to do exactly what he didn’t want to do. A burning bush doesn’t have to be a literal burning bush; it is a clear next decision for the next step in your life.
- You can’t ever fail when you’re being obedient to God. Moses didn’t want to go back to Egypt, but his obedience made him a vital part of the Old Testament.
- God is just as willing to speak to you as He is to me; we only need to position ourselves to listen.
- God always chooses the best. He sees the big picture, the beginning and the end, and all we see is our past and our present. He wants to direct your life, because you are a living testimony of His grace and mercy.
So what is it that troubles you today? Get on your knees and ask God to show you your next step.
