Why were they so suprised about the reserrection of Jesus?

• They had forgotten the predictions of Jesus.

• Don’t forget the Words of Jesus.
• They had missed the sacred prophecies in Scripture.
• The Old Testament was not “old” in those times; rather it was the stories of Moses, and a reference to the covenant in the past.

• Just as Jesus had forfilled the prophecies in the past, He will continue to forfill the prophecies to come.
• They had failed to believe God’s promise to David.
• God established a covenant with King David

We need to know our Scriptures.

We need to study our Bible.

We need to know what we are expecting next in the prophecies.

Those of us who know the Book have every right to look up.

When your life is full of uncertanites and constant changes, you need to stick with what you do know--stand on what never changes. Stand by the Bible. The answers He has already given me is more powerful than the questions for which there are no answers.
