Acts 1:6-11
- 40 days after resurrection; reunion
- they knew kingdom split from Israel
- GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH ISRAEL.
- It is difficult to read scripture and not be Pro-Israel
- Mount of Olives gives beautiful overview of Jerusalem
- Romans 9, 10, & 11
- Romans 11:25 NASB
- God's covenant with the Jewish people is irreversible: Romans 11:26b-29
- JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN TO EARTH.
- Understand the geography of it: where He will come back
- This is why we believe in Bible prophesy.
- The angels said that Jesus would come back the same way He left: in the clouds!
- He is coming back to conquer the world.
- This is the final proclamation.
- GOD WILL NOT REVEAL SPECIFIC TIMES TO US.
- One of the most important things a political leader can say is advocacy for Israel.
- When it's all said and done, it'll all be about Israel.
- Politics ---> Pro Israel ---> WIN.
- We may not know the specific times, but according to Jesus there are signs we can watch for. He said so Himself.
- There is no need for date-picking or calendar choosing.
- We are in good company when we want to know when Jesus is coming back. Some things we can know:
- "I don't know when Jesus Christ is coming back, but I do know I have power to witness for Him." Acts 1:7-8
- "I don't know when Jesus is coming back, but I do know that it will be glorious reunion."
- "I don't know when Jesus is coming back, I know that I am serving the One who will set it straight--the One who has defeated every foe. He's already victorious.
- "I may not know when He's coming back, but I know what's going to happen when He comes: every knee will bow and every voice will confess HE IS LORD."
- Israel is the cornerstone to prophesy.
- Even though He doesn't want us to know the specifics, God does have a timeline.
- Your view of prophesy shapes how you see the world. New interpretative view of current events. Helps you not be despaired. Bible Prophesy helps you understand geography--The Holy Land of Israel--no dispute of to whom it belongs.
Prophesy is good news for Christians.
- "I've read the back of the book and we win!"
- While I'm not exactly sure who originally wrote the song, the performances by The Cathedrals seems to be the most popular! Take a few minutes and listen to it! :)
- Which performance do you like better? The one from 2009 or the one from 2014? I love them both! The 2009 video might be older than it is listed because of their clothing style and the technology used, but I don't know when it's from. Seeing the group continue to perform so well over the years is just so great! :)
I WIN. YOU WIN, BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY WON!
