Three Key Characteristics of Who We Are.
1.     You are a Chosen Generation
a.     WE ARE FAMILY
b.     Gene of the elect.
                                                    i.     Nothing to do with predestined individuals; its when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you become part of this family.
c.      What draws us together is CHRIST. We can be as different as apples and oranges, but we have commonality in Jesus.
2.     You are a Royal Priesthood
a.     We are kings and priests.
                                                    i.     The word priest is never used in the passages of the New Testament
1.     Shepherds
2.     Older/wiser ones.
3.     Bishops—leaders.
ii.     Ambassador to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
iii.     For what purpose? Check the end of v. 9
1.     If you don’t share Jesus, you will not get a sense of this royal priesthood.
2.     Why do so many Christians live in doubt? They are not sharing Jesus. The more you share, the more you’ll feel His Royal Presence.
3.     We are to evangelize. It takes each and every one of us sharing our faith to reach
b.     51% Do not know what the Great Commission is.
                                                    i.     How can we celebrate that He is Risen without sharing the Good News to someone who has not heard this?
3.     You are a Holy Nation.
a.     If Holy Priesthood is about the Great Commission, then the Holy Nation is about the Great Commandment.
b.     Many Christians do not know who they are in Christ because they are only serving themselves
c.      The more you serve others the more you secure your identity
d.     You find you greatest confidence when you find your greatest vulnerability
