So maybe I'm a bit behind on this, since I just found this online and Sarah Tyau posted it almost 5 years ago, but it is so ingenious that I'm almost appalled that I hadn't thought of doing this before!
In Sarah's post, she gives a super simple tutorial on how to wear a shirt as a skirt. Sarah uses a great photo narrative in this post and quite literally just puts on the long sleeve shirt as a skirt. Then she proceeds by using the sleeves of the shirt to tie a bow at the front of the shirt/skirt. And there you go! A super simple shirt to skirt refashion!
This will only work with long sleeved shirts, because I'm sure not many of us would be as pleased with the results with short sleeves just dangling from the sides!
Though that just gave me a wild idea--how would a boat-neck short sleeve shirt look as a skirt, if the sleeves were tucked in to make pockets? Would that even work? I'll have to try it out sometime!
