Jan. 27, 2016 | The Golden Key of Prophesy

Daniel 9:20-27

• We are living in the gentile period. 
• God is not yet finished with Israel.
• Daniel is as essential to the Old Testament as Paul is essential to the New Testament.

Information from Gabriel the angel

1. Give insight and understanding
2. Tell Daniel that in Heaven, he is highly favored. 
• Prayer was the most important thing in Daniel's life. What's yours?
• In verses 14, 16, 17, Daniel acknowledges problems instead of choosing the view of victimization. He reproaches the situation
3. Reveal timeline (Daniel 9:23-27)
• Jeremiah 25:11-12 and Jeremiah 29:10-11 (exiles of Judah)

70 = time for exiles in Babylon; also number of years forfeited Sabbaths of Israel (Leviticus 25:3-4 and Ezekiel 4:1-6)--we cannot fight with God because He'll get what He asks for one way or another (2 Chronicles 36: 20-21).

• Birth of Synagogue during exile.
• 490 -- years appointed (Daniel 24)
• 70 Weeks of Prophesy 

Prophesy for 70 Years

1. Messiah will be cut off (crucifixion).
• After this, a generation lived, then in 70AD, Jerusalem was destroyed in the Roman War
2. The Mystery will unfold (growth of church).
• In Ephesians, Paul calls the Gentile church the Mystery.
3. The man of sin will appear (calamity of people).
4. Messiah will conquer world.

INTERPRET THE KEY

1. There are seventy units of seven
2. Each "seven" is seven years
3. "Seven" can be translated to "week"
4. Each week is seven years
5. 70 weeks (70 x 7) = 490 years
6. Each year is an Old Testament prophetic year of 360 days.

• #1-3 Christ accomplished these all on Earth
• #4 Everlasting righteousness
• #5 Seal of Prophesy

Deceptive Antichrist turning against many of Israel in the last half of 7 years of tribulation.

• Time and times plus half a time = 3 1/2

King Artaxerxes gave a decree that restored Jerusalem.

483 Years have gone by, but there is a pause in this current age, the last 70 years.

• 7 year tribulation in Revelation. 
• Rapture between Daniel 9:26 and Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24
• Returning of Sacred Temple on the Mount as mentioned in scripture
