Kym's Adventures: National Parks

National Parks

Number 3 on my bucket list:
Visit every National Park in the United States of America!

National Parks only. While Forest Preserves, National Monuments, Wildlife Reserves, State Parks, etc. are all beautiful and hold historical significance as well, my primary focus is on National Parks. There are only 59 areas in the United States that are protected as National Parks, and only 57 found within the states. The American Samoa National Park and Virgin Islands National Park are located on their respective U.S. Territories. I've figured that visiting the national parks is a much more reasonable goal than if I included all of the hundreds of protected areas across the nation. I will still visit some various national monuments and other protected sites as well, since my ultimate goal with this is to visit areas of historical significance in our blessed nation.
